# Does accepting a source proposal change or deploy Agent Net?

No. A source review records a decision about one exact proposal revision. Release creation and deployment are separate actions.

Agent Net's source protocol stores releases, proposals, and reviews as ordinary versioned resources. A contributor proposes changes against a pinned base. A maintainer's review names one exact proposal revision and digest, and records accept or reject. A compliant reader verifies the maintainer, ownership, provenance, pins, and decision before interpreting that review. A resource merely carrying a review-like label has no special authority.

An accepted review does not modify a release, merge files, execute tests, install dependencies, change permissions, or deploy the node. A maintainer can deliberately publish a later release with a parent pin after reviewing the proposal. Deployment still follows its own authorized operational process. If a proposal changes after inspection, review the new revision explicitly; a decision on an earlier revision must not be carried forward to different bytes. The kernel's generic resource storage does not itself understand source code or enforce a source merge workflow.

Known limits:
- The source protocol's additional integrity rules are enforced by compliant readers, not by resource kind labels alone.
- Publishing source does not choose a software license or independently grant permission to run or redistribute it.
